3D "Box in a Bag", Card and Bookmark
I made this set for a friend whose birthday is this weekend but she has been sick in hospital so I wanted to make it as bright and cheery as possible! I was going to put chocolates and scratchies in the bag but I'm not sure she can have chocolate now so I might best substitute that part with a little perfume and soap or something. The card is my idea and I got the tutorial for the "Box in a Bag" from Splitcoaststampers and made my own take on it. The material flowers on the card and bookmark are a great idea I got from Jackie Topa's blog (AddictedtoStamping, US demo) you just cut the material through your Big Shot using the Tasteful Trim die and use a little gathering stitch to pull them together and a couple of stitches in the ends to hold them together, add a button to the centre and you're done! This will brighten my friend up, for sure! Have a good weekend, ooops that's gonna be a long one - just remembered it's school holidays............cheers for now Sue

Stampin' Up! Fabulous Phrases and Buttons
Here is three "easy as" and quick cards I made with using "buttons" in mind! I am not ashamed to admit I have quite a collection of Stampin' Up! in my happy craftin space so sometimes I forget what I actually do have and up the back of where my stamp storage is I found the stamp set called "Fabulous Phrases" - this is a very versatile set of thirty greeting style words that can be mixed up and rearranged to suit lots of ocassions. More often than not I will reach for one of my favourites called "Teeny Tiny Wishes" which I use lots but I'd totally forgotten about my Fabulous Phrases which I have used today and will now move it to the front to prompt me to use it more!!

Christmas Cards Started for this year - with some more ribbon scraps!
Happy to say I have at least started on some Christmas cards and I am going to try hard not to leave my Christmas projects until the last minute as per usual! These ones are really a "follow on" from my previous post using up ribbon scraps, I'm still muddling with ideas on how to use them up a bit! And on a completely different note, it was great to see the sunshine today after that rotten week of rain! Cheers for now.....Sue

Ribbon scrap card ideas - Birthday and Baby Girl
I got an idea to try and do something with my ribbon scraps and these are what I came up with! I thought this design is really versatile too, it can be altered for all different occasions. I am also going to use up some of my red and green ribbon scraps and make some in a Christmas theme as well. Have to say the word Christmas is a bit scary to think about yet but we are half way through the year already and I think I might best be starting to think about this years' Chrissy projects before the other half of the year races away! So if you like these cards make sure to hang onto those odd little left over pieces of ribbon!

Reason to Smile - a couple of ways!
I've started to have a play with my Stampin' Up! Reason to Smile stamp set today and these are my first projects. The top one is meant to have a "vintagey" kind of look and the others are some little 7cm x 7cm notecards (easy as!) with matching stamped mini envelopes. Well it is the June longweekend and the weather is only fit for one thing - staying inside and creating! Papercrafting is the perfect hobby to have when the weather is lousy! This stamp set is only available for the month June and is yours free with any order over $125. Or it may also be purchased in clearmount for $28.95 or wood mount for $35.95. I'm sure I will be posting again before the weekend is over cause it doesn't look like any sun is going to appear for a few days.......cheers for now Sue

Boy Birthday Card Ideas
Well Stampin' Up! has lived up to expectations and organised yet another great convention! Wow again! My head is still spinning from all the inspiration, demonstrations, workshop "wows" and displays. Got so many projects I want to attempt now I haven't got a clue where to start....lol! Anyhow I've been meaning to make a few boy birthday cards so I did. The "lego" card is really easy just a bit of a pain sticking down all the little punched circles! The dirt bike-buggy thingy (not sure what it is actually called?) is a stamp from the "Need for Speed" stamp set (I got this idea off a display board at convention so unfortunately I don't know who to give credit to). I embossed it first and then marker coloured it in. I stamped off a second one on scrap paper, cut it out and used it as a mask before stamping the "splat" shaped stamp from "Extreme Elements" stamp set which I also marker coloured. Hope you like 'em!
