Stampin' Up! "Sent With Love"

Hi all, hope everyone had a good weekend! It's still school holidays here so there isn't the usual Monday morning rush at my house today, still have jobs to do but just not on the hurry today. Stampin' Up! have a new "travel themed" special bundle available until June 15 called "Sent With Love" it includes a pack of themed designer series paper - mainly what I've used in the projects above - a matching stamp set and a pack of Calypso Coral bakers twine available in a "bundle" at 20% off for $46.25! They may be purchased separately at full price but who wouldn't want the bundle! It is very suitable for scrapbooking travel themed pages, I just haven't had time at the moment to scrap as well! Hope everyone's week is off to a great start........cheers Sue :)

Party Favour Purses made with Stampin' Up!

I was asked by a friend this week to help make party favours for two different occasions, one for a girls 18th birthday and the other for a "ladies luncheon" so this is what we came up with. The top photo are favours made easily with the Stampin' Up! Petitie Purse die and is fantastic for any age "girly" party! The pink purse is for the "ladies luncheon" which I have posted up before only just changed up the colour and embellishments again (original tutorial I purchased from Becky Roberts, US demo, Inking Idaho and her tutorials were in a Christmas theme) I love the idea and look of a 3D purse!! Well it's late now and time for shut eye.........cheers Sue :)

Stampin' up! By the Seashore card ideas

Here's a few card ideas that i put together over the weekend, I finally "inked up" my Stampin' Up! By the Seashore stamp set and had a play. This set works for male, female and other ocassions, it's a nice change from flowers etc. School holidays are upon us already, I have no idea where the first term went! I'm also busy making "swaps" for the Stampin' Up! Convention in Brisbane at the end of May, soo much I want to create and so little time! I'm also getting excited about the new catty that will be released on July 1 and that will be here before we know it! Hope everyone is having a good start to the week........cheers Sue :)

Post It Note holders made with Stampin' Up!

Hi all! Well today I made some pretty "Post It" note holders and they are "easy as"! I used lots of different Stampin' Up! products although mainly just some of my leftover bits and pieces laying around. I think they make a very handy little gift. I hunted around looking for some mini biro pens to go with them but then decided they would be probably be awkward to write with anyway so just popped in a standard size biro for practicality. Well daylight saving is now at an end even though it's only tea time I feel like it's closer to bedtime, I'm glad mornings will now be lighter when I get up! Hope everyone has a nice week ahead! ............cheers for now, Sue :)

Stampin' Up! Punch Art Robots - Boy & Girl Birthday

Funny where you can end up creating whilst on a creative tangent! I was pondering what I could create with the Stampin' Up! Soda Pop Tops - the little ones that is - and this is what I ended up making! Robots with soda pop top eyes...lol! The boy one just has punched cardstock circles but the girl one has some crystal effects over hers for a "dreamier" kind of look. It's fun to make something a bit different and the Stampin' Up! Blast Off set worked perfectly with these "bots"! Hope you're having a happy easter weekend.......cheers for now, Sue :)

Stampin' Up! Print Poetry DSP - tealight and birthday cards

Happy Easter all! I don't like leaving home at Easter because it's just far too busy everywhere so it's the perfect excuse for me to stay home and craft and eat chocolate eggs! I made the above cards for my Wednesday class this week with the idea of playing with the Stampin' Up! Print Poetry DSP which is in our current seasonal catty. Print Poetry comes in a pad of  6 1/2" by 4 1/2" size variety of patterned papers, 48 pages of double sided designs (4 of each) for just AU $11.95! It's great value and perfect when you just don't want to buy paper in 12" x 12". The designs are extremely versatile for all occasions, ages and gender.
The top "tealight" card was actually from a tutorial by Tami White (US demo) who did a great tealight christmas card but I decided to revamped it to suit a birthday or Mother's day card. Good news this week from Stampin' Up! is "My Digitial Studio" (MDS) software is now available in Australia! Great for people who love to create "digitally", I'm a bit "techno challenged" but I'm going to give it a go soon, I don't mind trying a new creative challenge!.....we'll see how I go with it anyway.......hope you're enjoying the holiday weekend.........Sue :)

Stampin' Up! "Blast Off" Stamp Set - Boys Birthday Cards

I finally "inked up" my Stampin' Up! Blast off stamp set over the weekend and had a bit of fun making some boys birthday cards. I think the Soda Pop Tops that Stampin' Up! have in their seasonal catty work well with this set too! I stamped the little astronaut and then used the 1" circle punch to punch out his head, popped it in a soda pop top (flattened out in my bigshot) then put a layer of Crystal Effects on it to give the effect of the little astronaut looking out of the spaceship window! The top photo does more justice than the bottom one which I had trouble photographing properly. I really like the little aliens too which I just had to add "googly eyes" to that I had left over from the previous seasonal catty. Well Sale-a-Bration is now finished for this year but being the 25th anniversary for Stampin' Up! this year will mean plenty of new and different specials and surprises instore for everyone I'm sure! So stay tuned.........cheers Sue :)

Stampin' Up! Oh, Hello Bundle - Vintage Style Wedding Invite and a Thank You Card

Hi all, hope everyone has been enjoying their weekend! I've been happy to have a free day today to create with my new Stampin' Up! Oh, Hello bundle which arrived at my door on Friday, perfect timing for the weekend. This is a stamp set with coordinating framelits and I decided to go vintage with it! I also bought a pack of Stampin' Up "brushed gold cardstock" which I've never actually used before but I am very happy with it and it comes up beautiful when it is embossed, as you can see in the top thank you card. Well Sale-a-Bration is coming to an end this week - March 22 - so if you missed out and would like to get an order in and take advantage of this promotion before it ends, please contact with me before Friday! (Within Australia only)..............enjoy whats left of your weekend, Sue

Stampin' Up! 3D Easter Gift Ideas - without the "chocolate overload"

Hi all! Who would believe Easter is nearly here? I've just got over the Christmas season! They say "time flies when you're having fun"...guess I must be having lots of fun...lol!! Well here are some of my easter gift ideas for the little ones in the family - "without the chocolate overload"! I wanted to come up with something other than buying a whole lot of chocolate, I think a lot of kids get plenty from the Easter bunny and other family members and usually end up with more chocolate than can be appreciated. So whilst I have put a "hunting size" egg and a few little ones for tradition, I have cellophaned up parcels of marshmallows to add as a filler and made little gold coin "money bags" as my gift to them. At least they can buy something other than chocolate for themselves or pop it into their money boxes, I would have spent the value of the gold coins on a larger chocolate option anyhow! The top picture of the "bunny butt" in pink is actually for my teenage daughter so I'll be putting in a bigger money note for her, a few gold coins won't "cut it" for a teenager, but the little ones will be happy with their little money bags!! That's me organised for easter at least! ..........cheers for now, Sue :)

Stampin' Up Soda Pop Top Wristwatches - Male Birthday Cards

As I said in my previous post I did see the "Soda Pop Top" watch idea somewhere on the internet but have to apologise to whoever the original creator was I just remember the actual watch idea. Anyhow thank you whoever you are for this great idea for male birthday cards!!  Just by flattening the pop top through your Bigshot and using the Stampin' Up! Clockworks and Collage Curios stamp sets you can make easy male cards! I'm a happy crafter when I can make something for a fella! lol..........enjoy the week, cheers Sue :)

Stampin' Up! Baby Girl card - Soda Pop Top wrist watch!

Stampin' Up! has a new embellishment in their new seasonal catty, "Soda Pop Tops" which I have found somewhat challenging to use until I saw a "wristwatch" idea on the net (I can't remember exactly where I saw the idea but it was most likely Splitcoaststampers) the one I saw was actually a masculine card which is great because I am always interested in any male card ideas, as we know there are always soooo many female card ideas not male! Anyhow the main trick to this card is flattening the soda pop top in your Bigshot which gives makes a very effective "watch" base and it also works really well with the Stampin' Up! Clockworks stamp set - great combination me thinks!!! Hope you like this card! Enjoy the rest of the weekend......Sue :)

3D Valentine gift box for my teenage daughter - "shabby chic style" again!

Here's just one more "shabby chic vintage" style project that I've made for my teenage daughter for Valentine's Day. I always give her a little something for Valentine's but she's a bit too old now for cuddly bears etc so I've decorated a Stampin' Up! Kraft box and filled it with heart chocolates for her "easy as"!!
I will admit I did "have" to sample one chocolate just to make sure they were nice!! Lol......have a nice day.......Sue :)

Bookmarks "shabby chic style" with Stampin' Up! new seasonal catty products!

It's Valentines Day tomorrow and I love hearts and flowers but I'm not kinda really into the "gushy, lovey, mushy kinda side of it so I haven't been creating that theme but instead had a bit of fun making these "shabby chic kind of modern vintage" style bookmarks! I cut the bookmarks using the Stampin' Up Two Tags Die and threw a bunch of ribbon, buttons and embellishments in front of myself and they came together no bother  at all. The Artisan Embellishment Kit has some great bits and bops in it and the new Flower Trim ribbon works well but my favourite is the new Build a Brad which just adds that bit of "wow" to a project! Hope you like them and have a "Happy Valentines Day" tomorrow.......................Sue :)

3D Handbags made with Stampin' Up!

Yaay the weekend is here! I do love the routine when school goes back but that includes still loving weekends too! This week I've been playing with a handbag tutorial that I purchased from Becky Roberts (US Stampin' Up!demonstrator). The top one I decorated with Tea for Two DSP and some pieces from the Artisan Embellishments Kit and Flower trim (these are easy to dye with SU reinkers) available now in the new Seasonal Catalogue. I had some tulle left over from the Holiday Seasonal Catalogue which has just finished and thought I would have a go at using some on a project other than a christmas type of idea so I added it to the bottom two handbags. The bottom bag I used Naturals Composition Specialty paper which is  actually an embossed style, crumb cake and quite a heavy-weight type of DSP that I sponged with Early Espresso ink. Because the designs are embossed they can easily be sponged with another colour to give them a bit of a "wow" and completely change the look of the papers. These were a fun and easy project! Hope you're enjoying your weekend..............Sue

Stampin' Up! Pretty Petites note cards set

Well who would believe that today I have on jeans, jumper and ugg boots and only a couple of weeks ago we were all melting 45c heat!!!  It's been a miserable rainy day here but just perfect weather for craftiing!  Today I made these cheerful little note-cards and used a sentiment stamp set from the Sale-a-Bration brochure called "Pretty Petites" and best of all there is a punch to match the "Petite Curly Label" punch! There are also now new smaller scallop circle punches available which are fantastic for layering. The little gift box I made to put them in was "easy as" just using the scallop envelope die and joining four of them together. I'm sure it will make a nice little gift for someone! Well that's it for me for today, hope we get some more crafty weather tomorrow.............cheers Sue

Stampin' Up! Stippled Blossoms Female Birthday Cards

Well finally another school year has started and whilst I do love the holidays it's good to return to some "routine"! The top card I made for a friend using the lovely Stippled Blossoms stamp set and added some embellishments from the new "Artisan Embellishments Kit" available from Stampin' Up! tomorrow in the new seasonal catalogue! The bottom card I actually made for display at the Stampin' Up Sydney Heartfelt event last October. Both of the backgrounds on this card were brayered and embossed, I really liked the effect. Lots of new products are available from tomorrow in the new seasonal catty not to mention the added bonus of Sale-a-Bration which has begun and a free product choice from this brochure with every $100 spent on any Stampin' Up! products. If you would like to join Stampin' Up! now is a brilliant time with the starter kit being only $169 and you get $294 worth of product if you join during Sale-a-Bration which runs till March 22, it's a fabulous special! .....................cheers for now ....Sue :)

Stampin' Up! "Feeling Sentimental" Sale-a-bration

Sale-a-Bration has begun! Today I've been stamping with the new "Feeling Sentimental" stamp set from the SAB catalogue that I received for free with my last $100 order. This set features a "Penny-farthing" bicycle, an almost extinct now Telephone booth, a big old "Ferris Wheel" (not used in these cards) and a sentiment stamp "Celebrate" in a nice script. This set would also suite heritage scrapbooking! I used the very popular set "Lovely as a Tree" to add some dimension to the vintage images in the bottom two cards and have included a few sneak peek products from the new Seasonal Catty which starts next week in the top one which I "emboss resisted" for a totally different effect..........hope you like!!!............Sue :)

Stampin' Up! new product sneak peek - available soon!

Here are a couple of cards to show you which have some new products from the Stampin' Up! seasonal catalogue that will be available from Feb 1 which is just over 1 week away. The "Feel Goods" stamp set that has some great "sentiments" which I seem to never be able to get enough of, I love inspiring words that really make a handmade card extra special. The "bees" are from the new "Collage Curios" set which I embossed and fussy cut to make them "pop" better and was worth the effort (the photos do not do them justice). Best of all is we now have another smaller circle scallop punch which makes multiple layering sooo easy!! Sale-a-Bration kicks off today "Yaaay" so until March 22 there is a free gift to choose from the SAB brochure for every $100 spent on Stampin' Up products!! I am a little restricted with time to create at the moment because my air-conditioner decided to die of heatstroke last Friday which was the hottest day ever recorded here (couldn't have been a worst time, hey? 46c) and until it is repaired or the summer heat cools down I can only craft in the early morning or cooler evenings because perspiring hands do not work well with cardstock and paper! However "Where there's a will there's a way".....................cheers Sue :)

Sale-a-bration Sneak Peek - Sycamore Street DSP

Hi again! hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year! Personally I am now glad the "mad month" has finished and looking forward to what 2013 has instore! I didn't mean to leave it quite so long since my last post but just got soooo busy over the holiday period and then have had some blogger troubles not being able to upload any of my pictures........well somehow I sorted it out!! Hooray! Stampin' Up! Sale-a-bration starts this month on the 22nd January thru till the 22nd March which means for every $100 of purchases there is free product that can be chosen from the Sale-a-bration brochure and there is quite a variety of goodies to choose from this year! The cards above have some little "sneak peeks" among them mainly some samples of the new Sycamore Street designer series paper that I got free with my last $100 order. There's lots of new products coming soon also in the new mini catalogue (the North Americans call it their "Spring" catalogue but for us perhaps it should be "Autumn") which will be available from the 1st of Feb thru till the 30th of June. I'll be posting sneak peeks as i create them this month to show you. Contact me by email if you   would like me to send you out a copy of the new catty and SAB brochure. Hope you are managing to keep cool and stay safe from fires in this crazy heatwave.........cheers Sue :)

Decorated chocolates gift idea using Stampin' Up! Lattice Bigz Die

Here's an "easy as" project which was an idea from Teresa Dabrowski who presented this great project at the Sydney Heartfelt event last month. It's basically a chocolate wrapped in a lattice bigz die square using glue dots to adhere it to the chocolate and a bit of "bling" on the top. Most of the bling is using Stampin' Up! punches, glimmer paper and ribbon but there's some little bits that I used from my stash like the pieces of glittery mesh that suited this project. Only a word of warning to chocolate lovers like myself I think I ate as many as I decorated!! lol but I think these gifts really step up a boring box of chocolates and are probably good for people watching their waistlines because they might not be so tempted to pull apart the pretty wrapping! Only twenty sleeps now till "Ho Ho"..........Sue :)
