Happiest Birthday with just a "little" Stampin' Up! new product sneak peek!

This card has been the "bane" of my life this week! I started out with an idea that was simple enough but now and then an idea doesn't come to fruition easily and then becomes a challenge, or in the end just a "pain"! I started it last Sunday with intentions of it being in the mail on Tuesday but that wasn't meant to be. I've joined into a "Birthday Pen Pals Card Swap" with other Stampin' Up! demos, there are about twenty of us in it and because they are all demos I like to put a bit of extra effort into my cards for them, it just wouldn't sit right with me to just "slap any old thing" together at the last minute. So a week later I finally finished a card that is nothing like what it started out to be but I think I can safely say it is at least an "original", in my mind anyway! Better late than never! It will be off to it's recipient first thing tomorrow, I hope she likes it, she just won't know about the trauma trying to put it together! lol !

It does contain "just a little sneak peek" of product coming our way soon! The new Stampin' Up! annual catalogue realease is just about 4 weeks away and a very exciting mini seasonal catalogue with it! Can't wait! I've started a very long wish list and am very grateful I have a reasonable tax refund on its way to fund some of it!

Gotta get back to creating now, there are 4 Birthday Pen Pals I need to make cards for in August and if they take me as long as this one I better get on to them now!!.......cheers for now Sue

Stationery covered in Stampin' Up! Fabric and DSP

This week I've been busy covering stationery that i bought from Officeworks. I need some new binders to put my crafty templates and tutorials etc so I decided to make them "crafty" too! I covered the binders with Stampin' Up! fabrics and adhered the material with Stampin' Up "sticky sheets"! I wasn't sure at first if it would work properly but am happy to say the fabric stuck just fine! I also covered a new phone and address book and added some applique letters. The notebooks didn't look right as they were so I brightened them up with some Designer Series Paper and a bit of ribbon. I am happy with the results and really happy there is so many different ways to use Stampin' Up! products.
Cheers for now........Sue

Tile Coaster/Cards - a few more ideas

Here's a few more tile ideas I inked up and chalked today. I am a papercraft "addict" at heart but I do enjoy playing with other crafty ideas and mediums! I love a bit of variety but can honestly say I will never be a "knitter", crochet yes, but knitting was one craft I just couldn't take to, although I do admire those that can. Anyhow I liked how these tiles turned out! The top two are current Stampin' Up! stamps sets - Elements of Style, Just Believe and the butterflies are from Kindness Matters. The bottom two are unfortunately retired sets (Summer by the Sea and Seaside Sketches) but i can't part with them because they are still in my "faves" , matter of fact they were two of the very first stamp sets I purchased when I was introduced to Stampin' Up! about six years or so ago and I am still having fun with all their great products! Well the weather forecast for tomorrow is supposed to be really lousy so that means another great excuse to do some more creating!!

3D Card Chest/Gift Box - Very Sturdy! One for Baby Girl & One for a Pirate Boy

Wow! I am absolutely wrapped in this "Card Chest" tutorial that I purchased the other day from a UK demonstrator - Jenny Moors "Stampingmoments". It was about $4 something in Aus dollars and I am really impressed with this project and her blog is very impressive as well!! Her version of this chest looks gorgeous in "Mocha Morning Specialty DSP" but it sent my ideas running in all directions!
What i love about it most is it is "very sturdy" which makes it even more versatile. It does take a lot of "layering" with cardstock and DSP but the result is so worth the effort!!!
I love it soo much I've planned it for my "Christmas in August class" (I'm having mine in August instead of "July" - too much on this month as well as school holidays) so it will be a Christmas Chest with some easy cards and gift tags to go with it. Just contact me if you would like to come along and learn this great project!!
Nearly forgot, if you like the "Baby Chest" this stamp set is available in Stampin' Up!s Autumn Winter Mini Catalogue which is current till the end of July - the set is called "Baby Prints". I am happy with this set which is also great for scrapbooking pages! Well that's me for now...cheers Sue
